Optimization of the production process with granulated friction material
The idea of the Process Controlled Manufacturing (PCM) is based on a continuous flow of brake linings in line without interrupting and heat losses. The process chain is able to run directly in series by using the latest techniques on the market in a production line. On this basis, the previous processing time shall be considerably reduced in order to reach a quality improvement of the produced brake linings and to produce them in narrow production tolerances as with the conventional processes. Another important advantage of PCM in comparison with conventional processes is, that the production process of brake linings can be controlled and that a zero-defect-production of brake linings no longer is impossible. Therefore, the best requirement is granulated friction material.
